Thats awesome! I love when people autoX ridiculously large cars. I tried to get our local chapter to let me run my dad’s dually but they said no. They said the rule clearly states no trucks, they are a roll over risk. My argument was that it’s a dually, it basically has it’s own training wheels. They clearly didn’t buy it.

But if it was actually fast, ultimate AutoX sleeper.

I was running 40 psi rear, 37 front, and it only oversteered once.

I bet you had the smoothest ride and lightest steering though.

I can’t wait to autocross my 7 series. The steering wheel is so huge I feel like a cruise ship captain

I don’t know what the rule is now, but back in the 90's and early 00's, SCCA would let 2wd pickups autocross. There were some guys from Southern NM that would show up with 2wd F150's from time-to-time and guy who raced one of those street package, lowered tacomas locally. There was also a guy who used to run a modified Datsun pickup pretty competitively in FSP at nationals back in the 90's.

Just you wait. Next season (or potentially end of this season) me and my dad are going to run our ‘64 Impala Coupe with the 327 and our ‘72 Cadillac Sedan Deville (with a freaking 472) in AutoX. They will be the most comfortable AutoX laps of all time.

That’s awesome, I didn’t know about that.

My dad’s dually is 4x4, which is why I suspect they didn’t allow it.
